Utterson, choosing the path of justice, provided the address in Soho. Hyde was gone, but the evidence was damning. Later, Jekyll, looking deadly sick, swore he was done with Hyde and produced a letter of farewell. Utterson's head clerk, Mr. Guest, a graphologist, analyzed the note alongside an invitation from Jekyll. 'There is a singular resemblance,' Guest remarked. 'The two hands are in many points identical: only differently sloped.'
